Getting Started - Booting Linux with RAMDisk
 
Connect LN2410SBC to a host PC with a null modem serial cable provided.
 
Configure a serial terminal (minicom on Linux or HyperTerminal on Windows) as 115200 BPS, 8 data bits, none
 
  parity, 1 stop bits and no flow control
 
Power up LN2410, then on the serial console you should see
 
 
 
Download kernel image at 0x30f00000
 
  LN2410SBC # loadb 0x30f00000
 
  ## Ready for binary (kermit) download to 0x30F00000 at 115200 bps...
 
 
Send zImage by selecting [Transfer]-[Send File] from HyperTerminal pull-down menu
 
• Select zImage under Linux\image on the CD provided and Kermit protocol
 
 
 
Download RAMDisk image at 0x30800000
 
  LN2410SBC # loadb 0x30800000
 
  ## Ready for binary (kermit) download to 0x30800000 at 115200 bps...
 
 
• Send LN2410disk_gz over serial line
 
 
 
Start kernel
 
  LN2410SBC # go 0x30f00000
